Training Programs on Ornamental Fish Culture at Rambodagalla

Rambodagalla Ornamental Fish Breeding and Training center is the main Training Institution for Ornamental Fish culture, under the National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka.

The Institute is actively engaged in transfer of technologies of ornamental fish culture through organizing short-term training on different aspects. The clientele of such training programs are breeders, exporters, teachers, students, researchers, and personnel from NGOs, Farmers and Entrepreneurs, Development Officers from Government Agencies and all those interested in ornamental fish culture. The details of the training programs are as follows:

Two types of training courses are on offer

A 10 day Full time Training Course with Lodging and food for Rs. 15,000

Fish Culture in Mud Ponds	Lectures and Practical
Farm Management	Lectures
Fish Rearing	Lectures and Practical
Fish Resource Management	Lectures
Export Limitations and Legislations	Lectures
Ornamental Fish Markets	Lectures
Introduction to Aquatic plants projection techniques	Lectures and Practical

The maximum class size is 20 Applicants. Registrations may be canceled up to two weeks prior to a scheduled session, less a Rs. 2000 cancellation fee. Within two weeks of a scheduled session no refund will be given, but alternate attendees may be designated or a voucher issued for a future course offering. Cancellation of a course session if the minimum required number of registrations is not registered, but alternate attendees may be designated or a voucher issued for a future course offering.
