National Aquaculture
Development Authority of Sri Lanka organized a workshop to prepare the Crop
Calendar for 2006 - Maha Period. This workshop was held at Rest House, Chilaw on
27th June 2006 with the participation of Deputy Director (Coastal
Aquaculture Development) NAQDA, Assistant Director (Shrimp Farm Monitoring and
Extension Unit) NAQDA, Shrimp Farm Associations and Technical Committee members.
Following organizations
represent the Technical committee, NARA, North Western Provincial Council, North
Western Province Environmental Authority, Department of Fisheries, and Shrimp
Farm Associations. Crop Calendar for 2006 - Maha Period was formulated at this
workshop with the ideas of Technical Committee members and other resource
personals present.
