Training activities
are organized by NAQDA for farmers as well as the officers of other
public and private sector organizations who are involved in aquaculture.
Presently training facilities are available in Aquaculture Development
Centres at Uda Walawe and Dambulla. Plans are underway to construct
a full-fledged new training centre at Kalawewa with the support
of ADB funded aquaculture Resource Development and Quality Improvement
Project. Training Programs are arranged on demand-oriented basis
upon the request of interested parties and training programs are
arranged through the Regional Extension Officer of NAQDA in respective
